CSIRO's Data61 is proud to provide digital agriculture scholarships in collaboration with CSIRO Agriculture & Food and four Australian universities – Queensland University of Technology , Australian National University , University of Sydney and Curtin University .

The scholarship program benefits PhD students undertaking studies in information science and agriculture, where the focus of the research is digital agriculture.

Scholarship funding is managed by each university separately. Both top-up scholarships and base stipend scholarships may be available.

How to apply

Students need to meet the admissions requirements of the collaborating university they are applying to.

Students must meet the selection criteria, which includes having an outstanding undergraduate record with first class honours (or equivalent). Student with second class honours division one are also eligible subject to evidence of research aptitude, such as publications in national and international journals.

Only Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia may receive a base stipend. International students are eligible for top-up scholarships only.

The research undertaken is aligned with CSIRO's research direction in information sciences and agriculture.
